Deadline 3rd February 2012

When eyephoneography started, we promised that its third edition, eyephoneography #3, would have had an official open call. And here we are, almost two years after, sharing with you the open-call details.

The eyephoneography #3 exhibition, to which this open call refers, will open in April 2012, in the gallery of the recently inaugurated Castellana FNAC flagship store in the heart of Madrid.

    About
Gary Austin is an award-winning street & documentary photographer based in a small village in Derbyshire UK. With a varied career over 27 years working as a freelance photographer which has ranged from photojournalism to commissioned work and personal fine art projects.

With a professional background in photojournalism and a degree in art photography, his photographic voice has evolved to be a blend of traditional documentary and street photography, an approach which allows for the subjective interpretation of the story as an artist. He has a unique personal style that produces photographs full of drama, spontaneity and natural raw emotion.

The driving force to his work is exploring food, culture, traditions, Britishness and the human condition and photographs real life people on the streets, at work or at home.
